Hi Neil, welcome to the site.
The PR-2000 was roughly in line with the DX-2000 models here in America. If you look through our catalog listings in the left hand menu you should see the PR-2000 listed within the 1989-1995 Panasonic EU (European) catalogs.
They are terribly high-end but they are still excellent bikes worthy of hanging on to.

Hi Darin…thanks for the welcome and for the reply. I have seen the bike in the EU catalogs but cant seem to mater the Dutch language. One quick question if i may…what exactly does `terribly high ended` mean? The bike is in really good condition and i only paid £60 for it, not sure if thats a bargain or not but i am very pleased with it.

I should have said they are NOT terribly high end bicycles.
I would say you got a good deal for yours given what you paid for it. I think you’ll find that it will hold up very well over the years as they were very well built.
