    Hi,
    First posting. I just recently acquired a 1984 Panasonic Team. It was in great condition and I already have it riding perfectly. Now that the practicality aspect is done I’m looking to repair the cosmetic damage (which thankfully is minor). The fork is missing a good section of paint, as well as a few spots over the frame. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for repairing the paint damage, what kind of paint etc.

    Im also wondering if anyone knew anything about reparing/replacing the the Panasonic and Team Decals. Just want to get this beautiful thing back to it’s 1984 glory!

    My last question is about the original saddle, and probably a stretch. In the catalog, it’s simply listed as an Ariake Aero style as the only information about this, is it the Jaguar II? I’ve seen a lot of different looking saddles listed as the Jaguar II, mostly in poor condition, so I’m leaning towards a Selle san marco concord as good period replacement

    A lot of specific questions I know, but like I said I’ve only just gotten this bike and have already loved every minute of it.

    Hey Captain,

    I’ve been using custom mixed automotive paint to touch up fine scratches and such. I’m lucky enough to have a friend with a fine airbrush which is sometimes used as well.

    The Ariake Aero saddle is rarer than hens teeth I’m afraid. If you want to stay close to the original, check eBay for a Kashimax Aero saddle. It is pretty close.
    I’ve been looking for an Ariake Aero saddle for my AR-6000 for more than a year and a half and have yet to see ONE. I’m thinking I’ll be buying a Kashimax instead. The Concord would also be a suitable replacement (and easier to find than Ariake and Kashimax)
